Arctic Noir and the Sika books

Arctic Noir is an extension of Nordic Noir – crime novels set in apparently well-functioning welfare societies, where ghosts from the past often lurk beneath the surface, to be uncovered in several layers.
Along with the murder investigations Nina von Staffeldt’s stories convey the special atmosphere, grandeur and intimacy that characterises the Arctic and its communities.
Her first novel, Frosne Beviser (Frozen Evidence) was published in 2016 and awarded Best Danish Crime Debut by The Danish Crime Fiction Academy at the Crime Book Festival Denmark, March 2017.
Den Sorte Engel (The Black Angel) was released in 2017, Skibet fra Isfjorden (The Ship from the Icefjord) in 2018 and Vinterjagt (Winter Hunting) in 2020.

So far the books are translated into Icelandic. More languages are to follow.
